It is with great pleasure that we welcome to our lives Grady Brian Brooks, born 17 days early at Rockyview General Hospital on August 30, 2008 at 8:56 pm weighing in at 6lbs 14oz and 48 cm long with at 33cm head circumference. Thanks to wonderful midwives Christy and JoanMargaret mom, baby and dad are doing fabulous after 3hrs 45 min of labour. Never joke with your husband about going into labour just as he is leaving the house! It just might happen. Brian was an awesome support and really made the difference in helping Leslie get Grady out! Leslie did awesome and even walked herself out of the hospital. Once it was all over Leslie couldn’t believe it had been so fast and now we are very comfortable at home. The dogs have had a great introduction and we are ready to enjoy a bit of sleep before the rest of our lives unfold in front of us.
