Grady is Glad his Parents Share

I had a dilemma whether to call this "ways to get messy" or the title I chose. I thought since it was really our own fault that Grady got so messy I shouldn't blame it on him :D Here are some photos of Grady enjoying new experiences at a recent visit with Adele and Steph.
mmmm chocolate!
fun to make a mess!

A video of Grady enjoying the chocolate mess.
After several minutes of futile attempts to take Grady's mind off the clinking ice cubes Adele decides to let him take a sip of her Gin&Tonic (which at this point is all tonic water anyways). Grady took a nice big sip made a funny face (I'm guessing in reaction to the taste of tonic water) and then continued to try and "share" Adele's drink. So much for thinking the taste of tonic water would put him off!

Grady Helps Recycle

Grady has taken an interest in the recycle bin in the basement. Mostly because it has lots of fun paper to crumple and rip. Here is our recent attempt to try and keep him in one place for once:D As you can see he enjoyed it but the trick only worked once before he realized we were trying to keep him still!

Grady Eats

Photos by my dear friend Steph.
Grady Eats:

A crave cupcake.
That cupcake must be good!

Naan bread

Yummers!
This photo spread goes well with our recent trip to New Dynasty for Chinese Buffet on Father's Day. Grady is well aware that he is pretty cute and now often thinks everyone should notice. So the waitress came by several times to clear plates, refill water etc and not once did she say hello to Grady. The nerve (someone of you may remember that Rebar also suffered from this type of vanity as a puppy and would stop mid walk to stare at people as they passed by her without noticing her cuteness). Grady was not gunna be ignored so after givingher his best cute stare he decides to up the anti and lets out a little growl (yes a growl!). Well it worked that waitress said hello to him:D No one is ever going to say he was a shy baby! We'll see how well that tricks works with the ladies when you are 16 Grady!

Favorite Toy

Now that Grady can crawl faster than the speed of light his favorite toy is the dog water dish. He makes a beeline for it any time the baby gate is down or when he crawls up the stairs. These photos are from Grandma Linda's house when we were visiting and he discovered the dog dish is even more accessible there!

We could hear slurping sounds and discovered this! The boy can't drink from a cup on his own but from a dog dish no problem. I guess I need to find wider cups!

Trying to drink from another angle.

Here Grady is trying to pick up the water, it's not working so well for him.

Still trying to pick the water and still not working:D

Now before people start to get really angry with me I have to say Grady is a little boy and this won't be the first time he gets into something he shouldn't and it definitely won't be the last. If I freak out every time he does he will never experience life. A few germs will only make him stronger. Besides as a child I ate catfood and caterpillars plus I am sure I ingested my fair share of dirt and other germy things and I turned out just fine:D In fact I have never been sick enough to miss work or school (I have of course used that excuse to sleep in once in a while or just slack off but I have never HAD to:D)
I would never let Grady do something that would hurt him so if you are having a panic attack right now take ten deep breaths and laugh at the things in life worth smiling about :D

Exercise Classes

Grady joins me for 4 classes a weeks this session.
Mondays we do Latin Dance so he gets to take a latin nap in the baby carrier while I learn to dance. We have learned Cha Cha, Rhumba, Merengue and Salsa. Rather I should say I have learned:D
Tuesdays I Restore my Core while Grady bugs the other kids or tried to crawl on me:D
Wednesdays and Fridays we do a Mom and Baby Land Workout.

Here Grady is at the beginning of land workout. He only stays here for about 2 min and then is off to find when he can get into! So I try to work as hard as i can before taking a break to return him ot his spot. Class consists of something like this: Workout 5min, stop Grady from sucking a stroller wheel, workout 2min, stop Grady from stealing a soother, workout 10 min, Grady plays nicely with another baby, stop Grady from climbing on another mom, workout 5 min while instructor carries Grady to keep him busy...repeat:D

A water break for Grady

Playing with other babies in Restore the Core.

Next session I am doing 3 stroller fit classes so that grady HAS to stay in one place:D Although I am sure I will find it much hard to have to work the whole hour. I will probably be wishing for my breaks to corral him back!
