NFL Starting Quaterback...

Grady Brooks!

I promose you I didn't even steer him towards the football gear while we were at Team Skyline picking up our new Dodgeball jerseys. He went there all by himself and had a grand ole time running around with the helmet on! He cried when we tried to get him to try on a hockey helmet so we could take him skating, so I guess we've got another Brooks football star on our hands. I'll push NFL since we all know the CFL is fun to watch but those guys make peanuts!

Ready to run some drills!

"Spring" Fun at the Park

A trip to the park to get some energy out while Daddy walks the dogs. Although these days a full snowsuit is still required. But Grady seems to grow out of it each time we put a new one on! Hopefully only a few more weeks of snow and Spring will really be here!
Testing out the chain ladder from the "wrong" side

Pure joy on tire swings! Big enough to hold on himself and just fly!

Grady can climb to the top of the slide himself at the playground for the elementary school across the street.
"Helping" Daddy walk the dogs

Daddy getting into it too!

Come on Daddy! Let's Play!

Ready to snowy slide!

Much more fun if you crash to the ground at the end!

Newest Completed Sewing

The "quilt" duvet cover I made for our master bedroom. I say "quilt" because it was a quilt pattern but I didn't actually quilt it as Brian prefers a duvet:
An above view:
Hexagon close up (over 250 individual 1/2 hexagons pieced together):

Bag #3 - a Birthday Gift for someone (they'll find out soon enough). A different fabric, one that I while it think it is quit lovely did not lend itself to the 2.5 inch strip design as you can see that it is separate strips:
I had more fun with the pockets:
Three pocket side, one big one, one for a pen and one for a cell phone:

Bag #2 - was a Bridal Shower Gift for Stephanie:
I gave it longer handles:
And had enough material to make two pockets:

Bag #1 - This bag was a Bridal Shower gift for Candice
The inside:

My next project is much less exciting but needed nonetheless. Curtains for the basement! If you like the bags let me know and I will sell you one. I don't have anymore of the fabric used on the first two but I have lots of other nice choices.

Working Men

Brian took on the big job of installing the new hitch himself to save some cash. Its surprising what you can learn on the internet these days! Grady of course had to help daddy out.

Consulting on the job ahead.

Checking things out.

Getting a better look.

Grady recommending which tool to use.

Thanks for your hard work Daddy, now to buy a trailer!
