First Year of Preschool Over

That sound you hear? That is the world's tiniest violin playing a song for me as I mourn school being over for the year. It may have only been 1.5hr break 2 times a week but it was time and silence all to me. But summer is here and we are going to do lots of fun stuff!

Grady's school had a carnival for the year end party. It was pretty cool, although I still don't get why we have to try and get 100+ parents and kids to eat at exactly the same time? THAT was chaos! Lucky we happened to head in that direction around the right time so we ended up head of the line :D

They also sang on a song or two for us on their actual last day of school and I got a lovely thank you and gift for having been the vice president of the parent board. I get the joy of being president next year. Here is a video of their songs:

Playing in the "ball pit"
Obviously more fun that it looks like it should be!
Bowling
Bucking bronco races
Bean Bag Toss
Hockey
He shoots, he scores!
Daddy manning the catapult launch game
Getting to choose a treasure at the end!
It was a fun carnival and nice to see lots of parents help out so that the event could run. For prizes the parents donated various dollar store and kids meal toys. It was nice to get rid of some of those collecting dust in the bottom of the toy bin!

Grady had a great year and is excited to go back ext year. I don't think it has quite sunk in that school is done for two months. Nor has it sunk in for me the amount I'll need to get done as president to be ready for September!
